We need your help to strengthen laws that protect animals in laboratories.

We need your help to strengthen laws that protect animals.

This week, MPs will vote on the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill.

This Bill runs the risk of a race to the bottom by dismantling UK standards. It threatens to jeopardise vital rules and regulations for animals. It gives the Government the power to amend or delete thousands of laws without scrutiny, including the ban on animal testing for cosmetics. Our animal protection laws are not good enough, but the answer is to strengthen them not to axe or weaken some of them. This is a risky way to change the law, even if you want to make it better.

MPs will receive a lot of emails on the Bill, so we need to do everything that we can to make sure that animals, including those who continue to suffer in laboratories, are on their minds. The more we can do to show that local constituents care about these animals, the better chance we have of safeguarding existing protections and hopefully then making them stronger.

Will you write to your MP and let them know that laws for animals are important? Join us to say don’t axe rules that protect animals, strengthen them!

You can use our quick and easy tool to send the template letter we have drafted, or to write one of your own, but please keep it polite.

Thank you so much for all you do for animals.
